Director's Message

Greetings Varnett Southeast Families,

As a parent myself, having to work and assist my biological babies with learning at home throughout the day, I would like to thank every one of you for stepping up and taking on the heavy task of continuing the education of our Southeast students at home during these unprecedented times.

The entire Varnett Southeast team is working diligently to ensure the ongoing success of your children, whether through our E-Learning platform or our remote learning packets.

Our E-learning platform provides daily interactive lessons that incorporate essential lesson components delivered to our students during regular in-class instruction. The remote learning packets serve as an alternative for our families who may not have access to technology, and provides students with activities to keep them actively engaged and learning.

Know that we are here to support you in any way possible, and that we are available to you throughout the week via phone, email, Class Dojo, and our Remind App. Teachers are also available daily via our homework hotline (281-369-8855) to assist your children with any questions or concerns they may have. We want our students to be successful. Do not hesitate to reach out. Let us know how we can better serve you and your family. We miss our Southeast babies dearly, and cannot wait for the COVID-19 pandemic to end so our world can return to normalcy.

In the meantime, stay safe, wash your hands, wear a face mask and continue practicing social distancing. Please let our Southeast sweethearts know that our entire Southeast team misses and loves them so very much. Hold the ones you love closely, knowing that times such as these reveal just how important family really is.

Once again, thanks for all that you have done thus far and all that you will continue to do in the days ahead. Perseverance is the key and together we will stand the test of time.

We appreciate you, your hard work and support.

In partnership,
Jessika Hearne, M.Ed. Southeast Campus Director
